Common questions
- My alarm did not ring
- Check notification permission, then device battery saver / do-not-disturb, then browser background limits. Permission is the most common cause.
- The time is off when I travel
- Check the time zone in your profile.
- I cannot use my own song
- Uploading your own audio is not supported on any tier. Alarms ring through web push and the device decides the notification sound, so an uploaded file would only play while the app screen is open — exactly when you do not need it. All alarm tones are therefore synthesised, which also avoids licensing issues. Higher tiers unlock more tones to choose from (bells, birdsong).
Worth knowing
- Web alarms are most reliable on desktop and Android. On iOS you must add to home screen and allow notifications, and alarms can stop after a restart. For anything critical, keep your device alarm as a backup.
